About this toolkit
Study in China Toolkit is a small set of free tools for people planning to study at a university in mainland China: a scholarship matcher, an X1 or X2 visa check and an application document checklist.
Not an official site
This site is not run by, and is not affiliated with, the China Scholarship Council, Campus China, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the National Immigration Administration, any ministry, embassy or university. It does not accept, forward or submit applications. A tool result is not a decision: scholarship bodies decide awards, universities decide admission, embassies and consulates decide visas, and public security exit/entry administrations decide residence permits.
How the tools are built
- Every condition a tool applies is taken from a page published by the body that sets the rule, and is stored with that page's address.
- Scholarship entries were checked on 10 October 2026, visa and residence rules on 11 October 2026, and the document list on 10 October 2026.
- Where an official page is silent, the tool says so and tells you which body to ask. It does not fill the gap with a guess.
- The site does not publish admission or award rates, does not rank universities or agents, and does not promise outcomes.
When a rule changes
Scholarship notices are reissued each year and visa guidance is updated from time to time. If a result here differs from the current official page, the official page is right.
Who runs it
The site is operated by UNILINK (UNILINK EDUCATION PTY. LTD), an education consultancy with operating entities in Australia, China and the United Kingdom. UNILINK advises students on study applications, including study in China. The tools are free to use.
Privacy
The tools run in your browser. What you enter (level, age, dates, scores) is not sent to us and is not stored on a server; it appears in the page address only so that you can bookmark or share a result. The site has no accounts and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type in order to serve and protect the site. Links to official pages open on those organisations' own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
